This is connected to a Samsung Smart TV (I have both HDMI-HDMI and HDMI-DVI) to serve as a HTPC/browser and light gaming (minecraft, among us, fall guys - no highend/triple A/competitive titles whatsoever and at most will get an hour or 2 of game play a week) on the lounge tv for the intended person.Īny thanks would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone is able to spend some time to troubleshoot, I would be happy to drop off the whole rig if you are local enough to help out.

The PC runs fine when there is no nvidia drivers installed, but as soon as it is installed (via any method), I get about a 10-15 second window before it completely freezes - right clicking on the desktop will then visibly show the nvidia control panel after install which then freezes the system. I've tried doing what I could to troubleshoot it and with limited no spare parts to test other contributing factors. This PC is sourced from second hand parts on a tight budget to be donated to someone in need and after a fresh install of win10 (build 1909, 64bit) whenever the nvidia drivers are installed by either an install file from nvidia OR through windows auto updates, once the install is done and installed - the PC will completely lock up/freeze. Maybe the problem is somewhere between the card and the motherboard? One more thing: I tried to disable ulps, too and it didn't solve anything.Pulling my hair out on this one. Then I tried to install it from the device manager and it worked this time but and I see RX580 in it when I start up my computer using iGPU (normally it's disabled but I tried whether it can start up with that.) but when I try to start my PC with AMD card after showing the Windows 10 logo the screen goes black and nothing happens (I think that's when driver is loaded). Win 8 + Intel driver from manufacturer page + Nvidia 326.83 -> everything works, even the optimus for games Win 8 + Intel driver from manufacturer page + Nvidia 364.72 -> freeze after restart Win 10 + Intel driver from manufacturer page + Nvidia 326. So I started win 10 in safe mode and tried to install the driver that way but the same thing happend. The RX580 works smoothly on win 7 with the latest driver installed but when I try to install vga driver on windows 10 it freezes while hardver recognition. I tested my PC with an nvidia GTX560 and I could install its driver and the PC worked fine. Not so long ago I bought an XFX RX580 8GB and the problem still stands and it's starting to piss me off (other components are the same than in the previous thread).
